One of the reasons we moved into town was to avoid the deep snow that seemed to always fall in greater abundance in Mason County. Over the last ten days or so Belfair has gotten about 14 inches. Where we are now in east Bremerton we have gotten 'only' about 12 inches. It has been just as difficult to get around in this area with ice chunks in many of the local streets.
I took some photos of the snow here and put them up on my Picassweb albums.

I and our son (Marc) went out to the Lake on Tuesday the 6th. Nowhere to park except in Irena's drive which she had so laboriously shoveled out. The snow was approximately 15 inches deep on the flat. One of the trees right at the water's edge in the center of our property fell and hit the edge of the floating dock. No damage. The largest fir on the other side of the Lake down near the north end fell into the Lake. I think we are glad we did not yet move out there. Bob Jordan
